- Seedless dates : ¾ cup
- Dry figs: 6 to 7
- Golden raisins: 1 tbsp
- Almonds: ¼ cup
- Cashews: ¼ cup
- Pistachios: ¼ cup
- Ghee: 1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder: 1 ½ tsp
- Sugar (optional): as required.
Step 1: Soak the dates and figs in lukewarm water for 20 minutes.
Step 2: Take them from the water and remove excess water by slightly squeezing.
Step 3: Add the mixture in a bowl and blend it well using your hands.
Step 4: Roast the nuts such as almonds, cashews and pistachios in a pan and allow them to cool down.
Step 5: Take the nuts in a grinder and give one or two pulses. Do not grind it too much.
Step 6: Take a pan and keep it on low flame. Pour ghee to the pan and spread it.
Step 7: Add the dry fruit mixture into the pan and add raisins, cardamom powder, roasted nuts and sugar (you can avoid sugar if necessary, since the dry fruits are sweet enough).
Step 8: Stir and sauté it well until the mixture is not sticky to the pan.
Step 9: Turn off the flame and allow the mixture to cool down.
Step 10: When it’s cold enough to touch, Cut it into square pieces and place one by one on a clean plate.
